Have you been sleeping well this year? Do you feel revived when waking up in the morning? Is your sleep tight enough? If your answer is mostly ‘no’ than ‘yes’, then you owe yourself a good sleep in the next year. Let the year 2020 be proclaimed a year of a divine sleep. Here the FurnitureCart team collected a few simple ideas to make your bedroom a kingdom of relaxation.
1 Bedroom Is NOT a Home Office (bedroom is for rest only)
Stop working in your bedroom. If you need it drastically, better have a small working nook in another room or rebuild the empty nest/spare room into the home office. Let your bedroom function as a sanctuary: you step into it, and you leave all the troubles and business issues behind the door.
2 Declutter As Much As You Can (and even a little more)
Make it the space to breathe. Declutter your room, get rid of the unnecessary stuff and add storage bedroom furniture. By decluttering the room you will automatically declutter your mind, and that will be another step towards inner harmony and better sleep.
3 Throw Away Your Old Mattress (and invest in a new and better one)
Invest smart into your divine sleep. A good bed + a high-quality mattress + sheets and bedding of good quality = awesome sleep. Mattress plays a key role here, as it takes care of your health during the night hours of rest. The mattress should be replaced once per 5-7 years, as maximum.
4 Get Rid Of The Cold Light (lower the light to prepare your body for a night of good sleep)
Dim lights make the bedroom way sleepy. Based on light signals received through the eye’s optic nerves, our brain keeps us awake. With the warm dim lighting, your body can easily get ready for sleep. And, total relaxation needs total darkness, take care of it.
5 Repaint Bright Colors (use soothing colors for the best of your relaxation)
Whatever color you choose for your land of sleep, use the pastel, light or muted shades. Light blue is considered to be the best one for a good sleep, as it is the best calming color of all. The next award-winning places are taken by neutrals and earth-based tones. Both promote positive energy flow in your bedroom.
