Urban style

Urban style has been designed for the apartments in the big cities. This furniture is well-designed for small spaces, without sacrificing the functionality much needed for urban-dwellers. Scandinavian Style

It has been inspired by the Paris International Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Arts of 1925. Distinguished by mirrored and chromed surfaces, lacquer finishes, the art deco is used by interior designers preferably by means of accent chairs in this style to embellish the dwelling spaces. Furniture designers and brands tend to use both luxurious and synthetic materials for this outstanding look.

Mid-Century Modern Style

Mid-Century Modern (pictures above and below), on the contrary, has simple sculptural design, with the functionality above all. It has little or no ornamentation in furniture, sleek lines with both organic and geometric forms. Traditional materials like wood are used together with such materials as metal, glass, vinyl, plywood and plexiglass. Clean lines, gentle organic curves and a mix of different materials attract fans of the look that takes its roots in 1930-60s.
